Basic Tracking:

- Measuring tape capable of measuring up to approximately 48 inches.
- Orienteering-type compass (with mirror and clear baseplate) – optional
- Small mirror (mirror on compass may suffice) – optional
- Corrected vision of participants (eye glasses if necessary)
- Clothing appropriate for weather conditions (cold weather gear? rain gear? etc.)
- Canteen / water container
- 40” to 48” inch stick (wooden dowel) with rubber bands or hair ties (2) wrapped tightly around. 1/4” inch wood dowel will work.
First Line Course:
- Fixed Blade Knife w/ sheath
- Compass: baseplate or lensatic
- Space blanket or GI Casualty blanket
- Canteen cup for water collection and boiling
- Chlorine Tablets
- Firesteel or magnesium bar
