    I need a little help since I’m not a comms guy. Can you recommend some radios for a backpack nvis rig? Nobody in my group is into comms so it falls to me ,not bad really I like new things.

    1. I’ve written extensively about the Yaesu 817.

      The Icom 703 is a decent option, but they’re out of production and cost used what the 817 costs new.

      The KX-3 is nice as well.
