Montana RTO Course and Other Admin Notes

Just one week out until the 8-9 SEP RTO Course at the Ravalli County Fairgrounds. Its going to be a packed class. Students aren’t required to bring anything other than a notebook, pen, and something comfortable. There’s going to be a lot of notes packed into two days of instruction and hands on exercises, so be ready to write. That said, its a great opportunity to gets hands on with equipment you do have, to learn what it does and doesn’t do and how to fit it into a larger tactical plan. As all of you know who’ve trained with me, this is anything but a ‘ham’ radio class- it’s creating infrastructure where there might be none.

All of you who’ve placed deposits have communicated with me. We’re planning a meet n’ greet Friday night, so if you’ve put down that deposit and want to come out for good fellowship before class, send me an email for details. Otherwise the course starts at 0900. The deposit period has closed but walk-ins are welcome. $350 at the door, payable by cash. Everyone in class will be building improvised antennas so if you’re thinking about coming out but missed the deposit period, let me know and I’ll have materials for you. If not I can’t guarantee that you will.

The last open enrollment RTO class for the year is full. We have two dates scheduled for next year. What’s it all about? Read this, this, this, this, and this, and then come out to get the best training of its kind, in a courteous and professionally run environment, offered anywhere outside of the US Army. We’ve got some other classes on tap for the fall and spring and a lot of details that will be inbound soon. The Battlefield Surveillance and Intelligence collection workshop in particular will be unlike anything you’ve done in the past; if you’re looking to put your small unit, intelligence collection and tactical communications skills in a real context, consider coming out. I’m also making an Open Enrollment Recon and Surveillance Team Course due to the overwhelming demand, which was previously only offered to private groups.  That class and a few others are coming up- more for 2019 will be inbound.

I look forward to training with you.
