I’ve put another course on the Training Calendar – Off Grid / Prolonged Field Care for 2-3 APR. This course will be taught by a practicing MD with experience working for Doctors Without Borders.

Topics of instruction include:

-Water borne illness (including water sources, transport, purification, sanitation and treatment of common water borne illnesses)

-Food borne illness (including recipes, an overview of food preservation techniques and a sauerkraut making demo)

-Set up canvas wall tent and demo this as a temporary clinic and cholera treatment center.

Day 2

-Malnutrition and Starvation (including tips on how not to end up starving:)

-Flea borne illness

-Louse borne illness

-Hypothermia
