I think it was Michael Fanscese that pointed out that government is organized crime. They’re certainly making his case for him.
The cartel violence is not likely to spill over the border because democrat commanded CBP routinely protects, and runs blocker for cartel transporters. TXDPS has miles of video, taken from their helos, showing CBP, lights going, leading cartel transporters away from responding DPS. Abbott knows this, has seen the videos for years, and actively does nothing.
Truth be told, McCarthy’s rejection votes isn’t a “record” (yet!). The 34th Congress holds that privilege from 1855-1857 with 133 ballot sessions. It took 2 months to elect House Speaker, Nathaniel Banks of Massachusetts. The 36th Congress (1859-1861) required 44 ballot sessions to elect a Speaker. A key note is that the obvious political division at that time led right up to Civil War version 1.0. Perhaps what is most terrifying with the current dilemma, is that Senator Patty Murray of Washington State, President Pro Tempore of the Senate is CURRENTLY 3rd in line to the presidency until a House Speaker is elected. She’s a real piece of work. And by work, I mean SHIT! Probably an equally sized pile placed side by side with Biden, Harris and Pelosi.
